About us
Mehrabi Inasaridze family

This is Mehrabi. He grows our saffron in the village of Satemo. He and his team once produced tons of apples, but everything changed when the industry collapsed.
Since 2017, we’ve been cultivating the highest quality saffron on a small field in Georgia.
​
Thomas Schmidt, a biologist based in Munich, set out to create seasonal income opportunities for women in the village — and it worked. Every autumn, they now come together to harvest saffron and enjoy its gentle scent.
​
Thomas is also passionate about the health benefits of saffron and maintains his own archive of scientific studies on the subject.
